LegalPass extends the deadline for participating in the Credit US class action
Lausanne, 20 July 2023 – LegalPass, a Vaud-based legal start-up that launched the first class action for Credit Suisse shareholders on 15 June 2023, has announced that it is extending the deadline for participating in its Credit US class action to 10 August 2023.
This deadline, which was initially set for 20 July 2023, has been extended to meet the very high number of requests from participants and to give shareholders every chance of success. The legal action will be officially filed by 14 August 2023 by Maître Andreas Hauenstein of the Zurich law firm Baumgartner Mächler, who is in charge of preparing and filing the legal action with a competent court in Zurich.
“As it’s now the summer holidays, we are receiving many requests every day from clients asking us to extend the deadline to enable them to participate. Initially, we had set this deadline for 20 July because, on the one hand, we didn’t know whether we would have enough participants to launch the action and, on the other, we had to give Maître Hauenstein sufficient notice for him to be able to make the necessary arrangements. Since it’s now certain that the Credit US action will be launched, we have decided to meet general demand by extending the deadline for participating by a few days,” explained Philippe Grivat, co-founder of LegalPass.
“The extension will enable as many shareholders as possible to join the Credit US action while providing a financial cushion for the course of the legal proceedings, which could be lengthy and require additional resources. Our aim is clearly to give Credit Suisse shareholders every chance of winning”, emphasized Alexandre Osti, co-founder of LegalPass.
All shareholders are able to join the Credit US action via the www.legalpass.ch platform until 10 August 2023, which is the latest deadline for participating.
